FAQ
How does a Family Session work?
Upon agreement of the shoot, a 20% deposit will be payable (email invoice). The deposit is refundable up to seven days after payment if cancelled.
Following your photoshoot I will create your password protected gallery. This will contain fully edited, watermarked images from which you can select your downloads (downloads will of course be minus the watermark). Further downloads can be purchased from the gallery at £10 each.
The number of photographs in your gallery will vary from session to session. I will take into consideration any specific requests regarding the contents of your gallery, but I retain absolute discretion regarding which photographs are included, and you acknowledged that not all photographs taken during the shoot will be included.
In any event, I will endeavour to accommodate any reasonable requests from you regarding the artistic direction of the shoot, but I retains absolute discretion over the final results.
Prints are available to purchase directly from your gallery of any image in a variety of sizes and finishes.
How do you run your portrait and family sessions?
I aim to keep your session as light and informal as possible, with an emphasis on feeling comfortable in your surroundings, able to relax and interact naturally, and enjoy yourselves while I collect and record the moments. The perfect example of a family shoot would be walk or favourite location that you enjoy, where I can shadow and shoot in a documentary style. For solo portrait shoots I’ll gently direct, finding the most optimal environment and positions.
When will we get our Wedding photographs and how are they supplied?
Wedding imagery is supplied in a password protected gallery, with the full suite presented both in colour and black and white. All imagery is supplied in a personal, wooden USB box. Guests and anybody your password is shared with can view and order prints directly of any image in a variety of sizes and finishes.
What does fully edited mean?
An edited image involves a variety of techniques, such as cropping, resizing, adjusting brightness, contrast, color balance, levels, removing camera or environmental imperfections / objects, applying filters, and more. The purpose is to use the ingredients to optimise the overall aesthetic quality, to correct flaws or errors, and to ensure the moment is recorded in the best quality it can be. It’s important to note that an image will never look false or over edited, the natural moment and feel is paramount, and is always maintained.
Where are you based and how far do you travel?
I’m based in Cumbria but travel throughout the UK. I also spend extended periods in north Kent / London / Hertfordshire area.
What about travel and overheads?
Of course, for further afield shoots, some travel and overhead expenses may be necessary. These are kept to a minimum and can be discussed at time of booking.
