Coastal Places

I find the sea a homely and calming influence on my life. Being next to any body of water in the natural world speaks to my roots and seems to soothe the mind. With coasts, especially, the interaction between the water and the sky above it, and the drama often produced, fascinate the senses, and I find myself lost contemplating the intricacy and grandeur of the processes and cycles at work. I also find comfort and fascination in the people and cultures that exist in costal towns, along with the flora and fauna of the beach, and the way is time and tide are etched upon every aspect.
